Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot while speaking at Utah Valley University, bringing a violent end to the life of one of the most prominent conservative activists of his generation.
Kirk was answering questions at an outdoor event on the Utah campus on September 10, 2025, when a gunman fired a shot from a nearby rooftop. Kirk was struck in the neck and died from his injuries. The shooting immediately sent the crowd into panic as students and attendees rushed for cover, fled the area and searched for safety. The FBI later released video and other evidence from the scene as investigators worked to identify and locate the shooter.
