Unfounded social media rumors claiming Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was killed in a Russian airstrike have been thoroughly debunked.
KYIV, Ukraine — Russia launched another wave of drone attacks across Ukraine overnight, striking multiple regions and damaging residential, commercial and public infrastructure as the war continues to intensify.
Ukrainian officials said Russian forces attacked at least 10 regions, with the southern city of Zaporizhzhia among the areas hit particularly hard. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the overnight strikes killed at least one person and injured eight others nationwide, while local authorities reported damage to apartment buildings, a university facility, a shopping center and other civilian infrastructure.
