Iran's missile and drone strikes on U.S. bases across the Gulf escalate regional security crises, damaging hundreds of military sites.
WASHINGTON — Iran’s retaliatory missile and drone campaign against U.S. and allied military positions across the Middle East has intensified the security crisis surrounding the Persian Gulf, with attacks reported at American-linked facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and other countries hosting U.S. forces.
The strikes followed the broader U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iranian targets that began in February 2026. Since then, Iran has repeatedly launched missiles and drones toward American military installations and facilities belonging to regional partners.
